Terms of Service
1. Introduction
Welcome to Ambin by Manuskrito! By accessing or using the Ambin interface, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms govern your access to and use of the platform's services, including search functionalities, database access, and innovation data provided through different subscription plans.
2. Account Registration & Usage
2.a. You must register for a Free or Pro account to access additional features beyond the basic trial plan.
2.b. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and are liable for all activities conducted under your account.
3. Subscription Plans
3.a. Trial Plan: Limited access to basic search features without registration.
3.b. Free Plan: Registered users gain additional access to innovation data (e.g., patents, clinical trials, trademarks).
3.c. Pro Plan: Subscribers get full access to all features, including compilations of published academic literature and the ability to save search queries.
4. Intellectual Property
All materials provided through the platform, including academic theses, innovation data, and published literature compilations, are the intellectual property of their respective owners. You may not distribute, modify, or resell any materials obtained from the owners without explicit permission.
5. Use of the Service
5.a. You agree not to use the platform for any unlawful or malicious activities.
5.b. All data and search results provided are for personal or academic use only.
6. Limitation of Liability
We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any data or search results. We are not responsible for any actions taken based on information provided by the platform.

Privacy Policy
1. Information Collection
We collect personal data such as your name, email address, and subscription plan information when you register for a Manuskrito account that will be use to link your access to Ambin Free and Pro subscription plans. We also collect search queries and input for registered users to improve user experience and enhance user feedback collection.
2. Data Usage
2.a. Personal data is used to manage your account, provide search results, and offer additional features, as well as, protect the integrity of your account subscription.
2.b. Innovation and literature search queries are saved for Free and Pro plan users. Trial users' queries are collected temporarily but not be retrieved by the user after the session.
3. Data Sharing
Your personal data will not be shared with third parties, except when required by law or for the provision of services (e.g., payment processing for Pro plan subscriptions).
4. Data Security
Although, no method of online data transmission or storage is 100% secure, we employ industry-standard security measures to protect your data.
5. Cookies
The platform uses cookies to enhance user experience. By using our service, you consent to the use of cookies. All cookies stored in during your session are functionality-based cookies.
6. User Rights
You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information at any time by managing your account settings through the Manuskrito portal or by sending a request to the platform's support page. Consequently, you also have the capability to unlink or relink your Manuskrito account with Ambin access at anytime, depending on server resource availability.
Additional Terms of Service for Ambin Pro
Effective Date: October 1, 2024
1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering, accessing, and using the Pro features of Ambin by Manuskrito (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these additional Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not subscribe and use the Service.
2. Service Description
The Pro plan provides users with access to academic manuscripts, innovation data (including patents, clinical trials, funding, trademarks, scholarships, etc.), academic insights (relevant degrees, courses, and schools), and related literature from various repositories and publishers. These services may be added or removed with no additional cost or refund to the subscriber. The term "access" may refer to information associated with instructions how to get the digital, printed, or any copy of the manuscript, direct link to the digital files uploaded directly by an author or authorized co-author/s, or link to read or download a copy of the file which could be subject to the terms of the manuscript author such as non-disclosure, royalty fee, and/or sensitive data redaction, etc.
3. Payment and Refund Policy
All payments for the Pro plan are non-refundable. Once payment has been made, you acknowledge that you have no right to receive a refund or any portion of the fees for the Pro features, regardless of whether you use the Service.
4. Third-Party Dependencies
Our system is dependent on third-party platforms. Any issues arising from these third-party services shall not be grounds for claims, damages, or liability against Ambin, Manuskrito, or the host site.
5. Ceasing Operations
In the event that Ambin or Manuskrito ceases operations for any reason—including but not limited to financial difficulties, technological challenges, political changes, or alterations to our business model—you will not be entitled to any refunds, compensation, or damages.
6. Lifetime Access Clarification
The terms “Lifetime”, "No expiration" or “Indefinite" access regarding the longevity of the subscription mean that access is granted only as long as the Service is operational and running.
7. Pro License Usage
The Pro license is intended for use only by the user whose legal name is registered to the account. Termination or suspension of Pro features may occur if this condition is violated, as well as for any violations associated with the primary Terms for using Ambin and/or Manuskrito.
8. Security and IP Collection
Ambin may collect IP details to ensure the security of your account. This information may be used to monitor account access and usage patterns.
9. Limitation of Access
Ambin and Manuskrito reserves the right to impose limitations on access to Pro features if resources are limited. This includes, but is not limited to, API access and other resource constraints.
10. No Guarantee of Accuracy or Availability
While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, the Service may contain inaccuracies, typographical errors, or omissions. We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any information available through the Service. Availability of the Service may be subject to interruptions, including but not limited to technical issues or maintenance.
11. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Ambin, Manuskrito, host site, their affiliates, officers, employees, agents, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Pro features, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, whether in an action of contract, negligence, or other tortious action, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ambin, Manuskrito, host site, their affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any and all claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of any third-party rights.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Ambin disclaims all warranties of any kind, express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
14. Modification of Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective upon posting the revised Terms on our platform. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts located in Metro Manila for the resolution of any disputes.
